Solstice Run

Out for a few hours in the middle of the shortest day of the year - perfect conditions with a foot and a half of snow. Mical, Lorrin, Paul and Joe went a-running through the mostly untouched snows in Black Hill. Good workout, and what better way to welcome the Winter.

Made a foray to Guapo's

I've added some pictures to album. It was still snowing pretty hard on the trip to and from Guapo's.

Sudden turnaround in Weather

We finally bundled up the little buggy and tried to pull him around in his tub - the closest thing we have to a sled. He did NOT like that. I ran along the lakepath to the bench - the snow was pretty deep. Some of the geese on the lake had a couple inches of snow on their backs!

Climate change

That's funny, it's sunny and warm here in Germantown... just went for a nice hike.

Still Snowing Hard in Bethesda

here's a link to our lastest pictures

Gaithersburg Snow

I guess we've gotten about 6-8 inches at this point! Here are our morning snow pics with a snow-baby thrown in for your amusement!

Bethesda Snow

Well I think we have about 8 inches so far! I went out to get the newspaper at about 7:30 am. How about the rest of you out there, how much snow do you have?

Cold Run

Actually not as cold as we expected, one of the first runs of 'winter' was a beautiful snowy day up on the Gambril trails. Paul, Mark and I (Joe) set out for about two hours to do our mere 9-10 miles, but we savored it. Mark got a preview for Hellgate. The hills and the snow made it a good reminder on how to layer - and what to expect for MD Challenge.
