Highlands Sky Training Run

We headed to WV for our 6th year of camping and doing a training run on the first half of the Highlands Sky 40 miler course. For once we did not have any rain which was nice. And we had a beautiful day to run. Guiseppe, Demian, Paul and Mark did the first 14 miles of the training run. Mical joined us for the 2nd part of the trainig run. Joe, Amanda and Michelle did the whole thing. Very enjoyable day out there! Pictures are here.

WVMTR training run

Yes it was April 2nd but it seems that in Dolly Sods it was January. We did a shortened version of the Highland Sky training run due to very snowy conditions. It was a lot of fun and we got to cap it off with dinner and drinks at Mountain State Brewing Company. Here are all the pictures.

Black Mountain Marathon

In February, several of us headed down to NC to run the Black Mountain Marathon in Black Mountain NC. Weather was perfect and the beers in Asheville after the race weren't bad either! Here are the pictures.
