PSA from Magnus

Dear Ultrarunners, I would like to inform you of a healthy wonderfood, both nutrient packed and delicious. Beside me, I present to you the Cinderella squash, sugar pumpkin, butternut squash, spaghetti squash, and some decorative varieties. Squash is packed with Vitamin A, Vitamin C and potassium. It has the carbs you crazy runners need with a little bit of protein.

My people also find the winter squashes quick to cook. They bake or sautee it -- squash goes well with lentils and rice, baked and stuffed, with kielbasa, and in soups! I hope you people enjoy squash to power you through a winter of running -- now it is time for my nap.

My people are obsessed with squash too. Sometimes I wish they'd stop it with all the squash and cook chicken for me again!

My people foist all of their squash onto the littlest member of the family and she seems to like it. She is about my size, so maybe I would like it too. The books say if you eat too much your skin turns yellow - but my black fur would cover that.
