Totally agree, beautiful race. I really liked the whole thing, even the downhill. Downhills are really the only time I ever feel the slightest bit fast! And it was an awesome race day. The weather was excellent, aid stations well stocked and well placed, volunteers were cheerful and helpful, and the post-race food was great. Two items get special mention from me, the course had some of the best views I've seen and the swag was over the top. We got the really nice finisher jackets plus a pint glass from Black Dome outdoor store, nice t-shirt, camelbak bottle and a shot glass. Oh, and another awesome aspect of the trip was our discovery of the Thirsty Monk, a real cool Belgian beer bar in downtown Ashville. My only complaint is that it's quite a long drive, but with such great company, even that can be overcome! Here are a few more pictures from me. And no, I will NOT be running Greenway. You'll see me out there volunteering but I'm not running it.

I hope you get some rest this weekend. I may have to go next year just for the food and drink afterward.
I'm in agreement on the downhills- love 'em! and yeah, I know I was wrong about the rocks- now we have picture to remind us!
